It’s a new season in FoCUS. And I don’t just mean the Fall. Every year we have a chance to build this fellowship into something valuale and truly meaningful. With a lot of new folks in FoCUS, this is especially important this year. That’s what the Fall Retreat is about - if you want to find a truly supportive and purposeful community, you need to think about coming on this great weekend. Our speaker is Thomas Brown, a graduate of Fuller Seminary and an academic advisor at Cal. And we’ll have plenty of chances for fun and deep fellowship. It’s Halloween. Women’s Retreat: September 19th-20th, Cost: $20
Come out to Lafayette for the Women’s Retreat! We will be paddle boating, having picnics, going in a jacuzzi and hopefully having a fire pit, AND a TV to watch the Cal game!!! Mandemonium (men’s retreat): September 26th-27th, Cost: $20
Ok listen carefully men…September 26th will be more than pandemounium. That’s right, MANDEMONIUM! We are also headed out to Lafayette for some good old-fashioned man time. We will BBQ, have a poker tournament, sleep in tents, play some football/frisbee, watch the Cal-Oregon game, and have some time of teaching and fellowship.

Hey guys, hope that you have gotten off to a good start in your first week at Cal. Freshmen guys small group will kick off next Tuesday, September 8th. It will take place at 2423 Haste Street, next door to First Pres. It starts at 7:30 pm. We’ll spend some time hanging out and getting into the Word, and I’ll provide some snacks! Just a reminder that the Freshmen Women’s Bible Study starts THIS Monday, September 7th at 8 PM. It will be at my house, 2423 Haste St. It it literally on church property and is next to the playground. I will provide snacks!! So just come with friends and a Bible and I hope to see you there!!! Join us for a welcome bbq tonight at First Pres. FoCUS kicks off at 8:48pm but we have a free bbq beforehand at 7:30pm. Come along and feel free to invite friends. Freshmen are welcome but you don’t have to be one. We really like transfers and every other kind of student too!
